HALF-IN-1 for buddies during golf trip of a lifetime with Bonnie Wee Golf

Golf buddies David Yaspan and Bob Sunness made history at North Berwick Golf Club, Scotland on Friday 24th June 2016 by becoming the first golfing group to have 2-hole-in-1’s on the same hole during a Bonnie Wee Golf tour of Scotland!

As the group made their way from the 5th green to the 6th tee, David Yaspan and Bob Sunness were unaware that they were moments away from what will surely be the one of the greatest golfing moment of their lives.

First up David Yaspan struck a sweet 8-iron to the 139-yard par 3 and after a hop-skip and a jump the ball found its way into the hole! An Ace for Mr. Yaspan during the golfing trip of a lifetime! What a moment!IMG_0370

Bob Sunness was next on the tee and as he tee’d it up, Ross Greenberg, another member of the group was heard remarking “Bob, you need to hole this for a half.”

In an astounding occurrence at the 6th hole, Bob Sunness, also clubbing an 8-iron also holed his tee shot to secure the half-in-1. A truly extraordinary moment for the group.

According to the National Hole In One Registry in the USA, the odds of two players from the same foursome acing the same hole are 17 million to 1.

Friday 24th June, 2016 is a day that David Yaspan, Bob Sunness, Ross Greenburg and Eric Echelman will remember and savour for the rest of their golfing lives.
